Hello Lotus Corps Members,

Over the last few years, it has been noted that a number of you have not
been enjoying your Lotus' to their fullest extent. After conducting some
surveys it was found that this lack of enjoyment is primarily due to the
cars having mechanical problems that range from minor to major. So this
year, we are launching a new intuitive to reduce the number of derelict cars
in the club by turning them back into road worthy runners.

Our plan is simple. Several times this year, we will hold mini tune-up
clinics with the goal of getting one or two cars running, or running better.
By tapping into the experts, capable amateurs, and willing novices of our
club, we can very quickly return many of the unfortunately parked Lotus'
back to the highways and byways.

Where are we going to do this?
This will depend on the work to be done and the current status of the
vehicle. We will work with the owner to figure out were the work would best
be done: at the owner's house, at another club member's house, or at a
professional shop.

Who is going to do the work?
No matter your experience level, we would expect you to be involved with
fixing your car. This does not mean that you'll be doing all the work by
yourself, but it also does not allow any club member to get their cars fixed
for free. The goals are to educate and motivate every willing member that
wants to enjoy their car. Along the way, we hope to have good times and many
laughs.

Also, everyone else in the club will be invited to help out. If you've got a
car that needs to be worked on, come give a hand. This would be a great way
to work up a favor with another club member. If you want to learn about how
to do a certain job, come by to watch or help out and see how it is done. If
you just like turning wrenches on cars, stop on by and turn to your hearts
content. And again, depending on the work to be done, we will try to
coordinate with experienced club members to have them available to guide
you, and the rest of us, through the job at hand.

What do I need to do?
Just contact either myself or your favorite club officer to get the ball
rolling. We will work with every individual to help figure out the extent of
the repairs, where it would be best to do the work, what parts will need to
be purchased before the task is tackled, and when it would be best to
schedule the work.

This is a great way to meet and enjoy the company of other members of the
club, learn more about Lotus cars, and motivate ourselves to keep our own
cars running.
